Anything less than a victory would be considered a failure for Jose and his Spurs side. Norwich looking more and more likely to be the first team relegated after another loss.

Tottenham 2-1 Norwich

Spurs finally take advantage of points dropped in front of them in the chase for next season’s Champions League spots. An early goal by Dele Alli was not enough to secure the victory over the Canaries.

After star striker Teemu Pukki levelled the scoreline in the 70th minutes, it looks as if Spurs were on route to their second draw in as many and their sixth for the campaign. But then came Mourinho’s new Son with a late winner in the 79th minute.

Jose has kept his chances of top-four alive after their late victory. What they really need to sort out now is finding a suitable replacement for Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen.

They have a lot to play for still. Not replacing the injured Kane or the outgoing Eriksen will signal the end of the current campaign.

Norwich manager Daniel Farke must be considering his time in the Premier League and thinking… “How do I still have this job?” They sit dead last, no movement and are on 17 points, six points behind Watford, and eight points away from Premier League safety.

The league is far from over and there is time to catch up for both clubs in their respective Premier League fight.
