1. Liverpool

What is there left to say about the Reds that has not already been said? A few days ago, I wrote an analysis of the Premier League’s first-place club’s advanced statistics that all suggested that their defence could shut teams down by not giving them a chance at goal. They have not lost a Premier League match since January 3rd, 2019.

They have won eleven straight league matches and have not given up a goal in the last five of those matches. The Reds have outscored their opponents 17-2 in the six league matches they have played since December 1st. On Boxing Day, Jurgen Klopp’s club demoralized second-place Leicester City on their home pitch, 4-0.

Klopp is also the best overall manager in club football.  This run is reaching a historical level of greatness, which is what was expected would be needed for them to win their first Premier League title in a generation.

Dumpster Fire Level: The dumpster has been cleaned with a power washer, but there are loads of old adult magazines and a hooded figure with a stubby beard cursing in Catalan nearby with a cigarette.
