Liverpool are good enough on both sides of the ball to keep their form up.

The analytics show that the Premier League champions-elect (they are up by 13 points) can show the same mental and physical fitness on defense as they have shown on offense. The league season is a not a marathon, it’s a biathlon of sprints and marathons over multiple seasons. It requires a team to be talented, deep, and fit – both mentally and physically.

The festive period is a gruelling sprint that tests everything about the club’s fitness and organization. Liverpool, led by the best manager in football today, Jurgen Klopp, showed in this last streak (of many) that they are the most physically and mentally fit squad in the Premier League.

The fact that they secured five clean sheets is amazing by itself, but to do it during December when they travelled to Qatar and had a stretch where they played three matches in eight days, is remarkable.
