Erling Braut Håland chooses his poison and it sends him all the way to Germany instead of Manchester. He will join forces with Borussia Dortmund and enjoy the Yellow Wall.

As fast as the second-hand ticks rapidly in time, so does news and transfer business change in the football world. Just this week past after an enjoyable Christmas Day, Man United were widely reported to be in pole position to sign wonderkid, Erling Braut Håland.

It was too proclaimed, the only team the Red Devils were in stiff competition with over the player, who is actually the team that won the Erling race, was BVB. After this, the news went quiet as expected, and boom! The German side advertised the signing of the lethal striker.

"Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Manchester United target Erling Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg for around €20m (£17m).Sky Sports News understands United had met Haaland’s €20m release clause – but they refused to meet the conditions for the transfer – with the stumbling block believed to be the value of the buy-out clause, should the striker move to another club.More from Manchester UnitedArsenal transfer news: Mikel Arteta rivals Manchester United for wonderkidManchester United: Erik ten Hag pinpoints 4 players amid Brighton lossManchester United predicted lineup vs Bayern Munich – UEFA Champions League 2023/243 reasons why other clubs are ‘annoyed’ by Erik ten Hag and Manchester UnitedManchester United: Erik ten Hag’s constant “crybaby” excuses don’t add up"

Following his exit from RB Salzburg for £17m (€20m), he will join Dortmund on a four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at the club till the year 2024. This is another occasion the Germans showcase such marvellous business.

One of the best, if not, the best youngster from the Champions League group stages. This too could indicate that their star player (Jadon Sancho) is on his way out of the club and a prolific goal scorer as a replacement was necessary.

"The highly rated 19-year-old now arrives in Germany on a four-and-a-half-year deal and will join the Bundesliga club officially on January 3, ending speculation over a potential move to United, after Haaland reportedly told former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he wanted to sign for him this month (via: Sky Sports)"

Man United must turn their attention elsewhere

The Old Trafford side loses out again on another player they were heavily linked with for a long period. Jadon Sancho is another one who continues to be linked with a move to Manchester, but also he is being linked with a move all over England at the moment. What’s the next move for Ole, try and get a deal for Sancho then?

The January transfer window opens in a couple of days time for all Premier League clubs. If reports were true about United being extremely busy behind the scenes? Then they are already behind in their business transactions.
