There’s a lot going on in Fantasy Premier League right now! We’re hitting the busiest period of the season with 4 GWs squeezed across 2 weeks.

If that wasn’t enough we have no Liverpool (or West Ham but honestly who’s worried about that in FPL) this week as they focus on the Club World Cup, and we have 2 potentially huge managerial decisions coming that could make a whole raft of players instantly more appealing!

First and foremost, the coming GWs. The deadlines are Saturday 21st Dec @11.30am GMT Thursday 26th Dec @11.30am GMT (don’t forget to set your team up before you have a drink on Christmas Day!) Saturday 28th Dec @11.30am GMT (this is the day after GW19 ends so don’t forget it!) Wednesday 1st January @11.30am GMT

With regards to Liverpool this week, obviously don’t be like the 27,000 managers who bought Salah in this week, I appreciate he had a cracking game against Watford but seriously, why do it this week!?

However, I wouldn’t be selling the likes of Mane or TAA unless it’s part of a bigger strategy. I am considering dropping TAA because how Watford didn’t score I’ll never know and Liverpool’s ability to keep a clean sheet is in serious doubt. They also have a tough Christmas run that includes Leicester away and follows up with Spurs and Man United in January.

Finally, it seems likely that Ancelotti and Arteta will be appointed as Everton and Arsenal managers respectively in the near future. Who knows how this will affect their teams as Ancelotti is obviously top class but well-known as a manager better suited to cup competitions than the league.

Arteta will bring excellent experience having worked with Guardiola, but total lack of experience as a number 1. Watch and wait is my advice but I’ll be keeping tabs on Sigurdsson, Richarlison and Digne from Everton, and Aubameyang at Arsenal.

This week will be tough. Man City play Leicester, Spurs play Chelsea and Liverpool aren’t playing. Even Man United away to Watford is not the done deal you might think, given their away record this season is just 2 wins and includes losing to West Ham and Newcastle.

Yet, it is a good week for a maverick captaincy choice, so who should you consider?
