A new test. A new era that will last until the year 2023. A new manager but an old face in new drapes. Will Jose add to the Gunners misery?

The current scenario of the North London derby. When you standing at a campfire at about 4 am. The fire is just about dying out and the tent is calling. One of your mates then decides to throw more wood in and gasoline on the fire. BOOM!

That’s what adding Mourinho to one of the most intense derbies in English football does. Adding to it, Unai Emery is another manager sitting on the fence. They sit below Sheffield United (5th) for a reason.

One win for Unai in the last five games has gained its chants for the axe. The last time the north of London was painted red was back in 2016. Since then, the Lilywhites have owned the bragging rights. Can the man who’s won it in Portugal, Italy, Spain, and England, keep the Emirates quiet?

He has previously met the Gunners and their under-fire boss, Emery. The two shared the honours 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium. Jose’s record against Gunners is one not favourable to them. In his time in England, he’s only lost twice to Arsenal.

Once in the Community Shield in 2015 and May 2017 in a meeting with his old nemesis Arsene Wenger. Another fixture he has already missed the first of the season. Gladly for him, he gets to entertain White Hart Lane with his maiden North London derby, and the stadium’s itself.

Just by rejoining the Premier League, the excitement has elevated the league to 200. Spurs occupy 14th place in the standings. The league has been so contested this term, there are only three points separating 5th place from 15th place.

Next. Spurs taught Arsenal a lesson. dark

Jose’s first match as Spurs’ manager is a nice London derby and against a side showing inconsistency. Spurs face-off against West Ham who ended their run with a 3-0 loss to Burnley before the international break. The “Special One” is at it again.
