It’s Matchday 11 in the English Premier League and that means GW11 of the Fantasy Premier League is happening.

One team leads the pack with an undefeated run and another team’s hot on the heels of all the top-six sides, waiting to pounce on of their European slots.

We knew FPL scores could only go up after a dismal couple of weeks, but who could have foreseen how well the weekend would start as Leicester put Southampton to the sword and equalled the highest ever Premier League win?

Regardless of your FPL teams, it was a remarkable night, but quite a difficult one for those without Vardy, Tielemans, Perez or Chilwell. I had just Maddison and was shouting at the tele by the end for him to just do anything when thankfully he put a free kick into the top corner of Gunn’s net!

From there the weekend had plenty of good returns with goals for Kane (if anyone is still holding him), Sterling, Salah, Rashford, Martial and a surprise hat trick for forgotten man Christian Pulisic (played just 36 minutes in the previous 5 league matches).

Hopefully, this week the good FPL times will continue to keep rolling in as City and Liverpool play Southampton and Villa respectively (City have just put 3 past Saints in the Carabao Cup with a weakened side), while Man United and Chelsea travel to Bournemouth and Watford, who have found some defensive solidity in recent weeks…
