Jurgen Klopp smiles from ear to ear after claiming his second three points of the tournament. But at the same time, his first win on the road as a Reds manager.

No secret that Liverpool has always struggled away from home in their group stages of the Champions League. Their first on Matchday 1 saw them collect a loss on the road in the heart of Naples.

This is the sole reason Liverpool overcomes EPL champions, Man City for second place in The Top Flight’s rankings.

They then played out a seven-goal thriller against Group E surprise package, RB Salzburg. Thanks to a 4-1 thrashing over Genk and a win for Napoli in the other fixture, Liverpool sit comfortably in second place, three points above RB.

Matchday 3 results – Genk 1-4 Liverpool
Liverpool’s standings  – 2nd Place
Next fixture – Liverpool vs. Genk

The Reds welcome Genk for another busy, busy night at the office. Anfield’s not a place you’d want to be at if you already losing by four goals on your own home turf.
