Frank Lampard and his youthful Chelsea side is the first team in The Top Flight mention. Last place only because of their goal tally, but nothing can be faulted when reviewing their UCL performance.

The team in blue and from London left their celebrations for late in the second half. But it was all worth it, considering they took the top spot in Group H, in the first round of fixtures. Taking it away from the group favourites, Ajax.

Ajax had the best start to their Champions League run, but it came to a sudden stop with a brilliant substitution in Michy Batshuayi. He was introduced in the 71st minute of the game and made his mark in the 86th minute of the game.

It took all but 10 minutes to retrieve three points and top the group before the next round kicks off. This time out… Ajax at Stamford Bridge, a place that’s become a difficult venue to visit with Frank involved.
