Not overcrowded as it was during Matchday 7 but a day worthy of keeping you stuck in your seat for the entire Saturday afternoon.

Only six Premier League fixtures play out today with the first kickoff coming just after lunch. Not an even affair on paper but with the form shown by the visiting team, Spurs, things could get interesting at the American Express Community Stadium.

The aforementioned is not the most anticipated clash but it’s one that holds a hand in the movement at the top of the table. The one at the top that matters most is the reunion party over at Anfield, but we will get to that in a minute.

Here are The Top Flight’s best picks of Saturday Matchday 8.

Norwich City vs. Aston Villa – Relegation Battle

The battle of the promoted and an early taste of the entertaining relegation struggles. Will Norwich remain aloft of the drop spots, keeping the Villians in the pit? Or is Aston Villa about overjump the Canaries?

Norwich should be taking all the points in this fixture. That based on the two’s form, style of football, and recent results between the duo. Norwich has only lost three home games in 2019 and are winners in the last three meetings between the two.

Score prediction:
Norwich City 3-1 Aston Villa

Liverpool vs. Leicester City – 1st vs 3rd

More from Aston Villa

There is no denying this is the most anticipated encounter of the days, in fact the weekend. Klopp and Rodgers meet for the first time, so does Rodgers return to Anfield for the first time since leaving in 2015.

The two meet with pretty evenly matched teams. Both love to attack, but the one has proven to be far more superior compared to the other. Could the Northern Irishman and his den of Foxes be the first to draw blood from the Reds who on a massive point hunt with seven wins from seven games?

West Ham vs. Crystal Palace – London Derby

It’s another London Derby. Two of the Premier League’s surprise packages this season. Both have stayed in the top half of the table for the most part of the campaign but now must meet in combat, and play each other in a bid to stay placed in one of the top spots.

Palace has already lost two of the three games played on the road this season. Besides the beating the Hammers received at the hands of Man City, West Ham have gone without a loss in their last six EPL outings. They also own the bragging rights in this fixture. They’ve gone eight games without a loss to the Eagles.

Score prediction
West Ham 4-0 Crystal Palace

Worth a mention

Watford play Sheffield still in search of their first win this season. Hopefully the hive of the Hornets will provide them with an extra man and they go onto gain their first three points of the season.
