We kick off Matchday 7 day bright and early with Sheffield United hosting the team no one wants to come up against. Although, in saying this, all want to beat them in a bid to end the flawless record of Liverpool.
Sheffield United vs. Liverpool
The next test for the Premier League leaders are re-entries, Sheffield. It must be said, Klopp’s Reds are well rested from position 1 to 11, so it will be a tough day at the office for the home side. The boys from Sheffield hold a solid record of 2’s (2W; 2D; 2L) in their return to Top Flight action.
Interesting fact, these two met before on opening day with the Blades halting the Reds to getting three points. They (Liverpool) are yet to win at Bramall Lane, losing once and drawing twice. The Reds are yet to lose a fixture since the beginning of the year. The Reds have also scored two or more goals since the start of the campaign.
It will be hard to disrupt a well-rest and lethal attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino. The question is, will history repeat itself in the Premier League? Or is this Liverpool side too much to deal with?
Crystal Palace vs. Norwich City
Should be an extremely high scoring game at Selhurst Park between the Eagles and the Canaries. The former has conceded seven goals in their first few fixtures, keeping only two clean sheets on their run. The latter have let in even more. Doubling Palace’s seven with 14 goals conceded. They are too yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
The home side played out to a draw in their last home tie and will be hoping for a better return from the team that beat United on home soil. The visitors will be hoping the EPL’s joint third-highest scorer is hitting all the high notes and adds to his tally of six to help push for three points.
