GW4

  • We have a new person topping the charts for touches in the opposition box as Man United’s Dan James managed 11 against Southampton
  • He was closely followed by Rashford, Salah and Zaha on 10
  • Nicolas Pepe had 7 goal attempts in the NLD, but both Rashford and Kouyate (?) managed more shots in the box than him with 6 each
  • There were a lot of big chances available this week, but nobody had more than Chelsea’s new hero Tammy Abraham with 3
  • There were a lot of people who had 2 big chances, most interestingly Schar and Saiss were 2 defenders who had 2 big chances
  • Abraham was also top of all forwards for chances created (4) but was beaten by Mahrez (5) and Milivojevic (6)
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold continued his reign of creativity from the back with 3 chances created, joint top with Ainsley Maitland-Niles
  • 2 defenders also created the biggest chances this week with Boly and Masuaku making 2 each!

GW1-4

  • This year is shaping up as a duel between Salah and Sterling for top FPL asset. They have had the most touches in the box with 34, followed by Firmino (30) and Zaha (29)
  • Firmino is also proving he shouldn’t be ignored with his shot count (17) topping the charts and beating Salah (13) and Sterling (12)
  • Mount also beat the more expensive alternatives with 14 shots, although just 5 were in the box
  • Pukki tops shots in the box (13), with Firmino and Sterling close behind on 12
  • If you’re looking for attacking defenders, Robertson may be less creative than TAA but he’s certainly more dangerous with 2nd highest penalty box touches (12, behind Tarkowski) and 2nd highest goal attempts (6, behind Digne)
  • No surprises with who has created the most chances over the season – KDB (16), TAA (14) and Digne (9), although interestingly Callum Wilson is joint 3rd with Digne
  • When it comes to big chances the top 2 are unchanged (KDB with 6, TAA with 4), but Digne and Wilson drop away, while bargain hero Lundstram is joint 3rd with 3
