Tanguy Ndombele – 2. Ndombele signed for Tottenham for a club-record fee of £55 million. Ndombele was a relatively unknown player until last season.

His rise at Lyon was exponential. Ndombele is astute, with incredible physicality and smart dribbling skills. He is a force of nature and is a bully in the middle of the park.

He contributes defensively as well, eating opponents alive, sucking in the diminutive number 10’s and spitting out their bones. He has a raw energy and directness in playmaking. he is simply one of the most effective players on the pitch.

He is a remarkable passer of the ball and plays perfectly weighted passes in the final third. He also has an appetite for goals. He scores, he creates and recovers balls from difficult situations making him a beast for Spurs.

The French Powerhouse doesn’t run out of fuel, he always has gas in the tank to run throughout the match. He is a very reliable option for Pochettino and a successor to Moussa Dembele, who played a similar role in Spurs’ side.

Ndombele’s movement on and off the ball makes him a pivotal pawn in any system he plays in.  He and Moussa Sissoko could be one of the most dynamic midfield pairings in the league. His inclusion in the team allows more freedom to Christian Eriksen.

The Premier League is the best place for Ndombele to grow.
