In my final piece before the season gets underway on Friday night, I would like to set up an experiment I will be running throughout the season to compare different ways of playing FPL.

I will set up 3 teams (slightly against the rules of FPL I know but I highly doubt I’m going to win it with any of them, much as I would like to) that will all start out the same, but each one will be run slightly differently.

First I will have my own team that I will run as I ever have, fairly cautiously with the occasional -4 and sticking to (semi) sensible transfer policies.

Second, I will have a team dedicated to following the FPL herd and building team value. I will make early transfers on Saturday/Sunday nights to jump on the latest bandwagons, and not worry about any points hits that may be incurred.
