Every year Fantasy Premier League managers are faced with a series of dilemmas about who to pick, whether to play it safe and which gambles to take.

It’s hard enough trying to figure out which established Premier League players will continue from last year or get better/worse over the summer, but we also need to look at the new signings as well.

As a general rule, I don’t like buying into new signings immediately (although the exception was Salah and that worked out ok!).

If you have a team that has purchased a young, up and coming star like Dan James or Moise Kean, then there’s no guarantee they will develop in the way we expect, or that they’ll even get the minutes we need to garner a decent return.

Even more established players quite often flop at a new club, like Torres at Chelsea or Benteke since leaving Aston Villa.

But if you fancy a punt on a new signing or two – let’s face it, who doesn’t like the idea of someone shiny and new in the league – here are your best options.
