Liverpool:

  • The European champions have had a quiet transfer window so far, where they have been touted to bring in cover for the front line and a backup right-back. Klopp is content with this team while keeping their stars from going anywhere else. Their core players are reaching the peak of their power, and they will surely aim for every trophy available, whether it be domestic or European.

Spurs:

  • Daniel Levy has finally loosened his purse-string. They have since secured the signatures of superstar Ndombele and future superstar Jack Clarke. Although Pochettino’s squad are light in the full-back and attacking department, they are being linked with several players to link up and possibly replace wantaway Christian Eriksen and Alderweireld. Both have one year remaining on their contracts.
    • The departure of Trippier has led to a void in the right-back spot as both Juan Foyth and Aurier will miss out the start of the season due to injuries. Youngster Kyle Walker-Peters will need to step up for the first few games of the season.
    • They are strongly linked with the likes of Sessegnon from newly relegated Fulham, and Lo Celso from Betis. Completion of either of these two deals is likely to take place before the window closes.
    • After getting rid of the likes of experienced players in Llorente and Vorm, Spurs are looking light on the attack. The emergence of Troy Parrott from the youth team is great, and if Spurs can pull off the incredible deal in bringing Dybala, this will be their best transfer window for quite some time.
