Before the transfer window slams shut on the 8th of August, 2019, here is how the premier league top six faring in this summer transfer window.

Manchester City:

  • Pep has plugged a few rugged holes in the Champions side where they brought in Rodri, Angelino and Zack Steffen (loaned out). Angelino might play as an understudy to Zinchenko and Mendy (when fit), but Rodri was bought to replace and phase out aging Fernandinho from City’s engine room.
    • To ease of the departure of first-team players in Kompany and Delph, Manchester City has confirmed a swap deal with Juventus. Danilo will make way for a more attack-minded full-back, Joao Cancelo in a move figured around 30 million euro.
  • Ongoing uncertainty over the future of Leroy Sane will go to the wire of this season’s transfer deadline day. Any move towards Bayern will let City rake up a world-record fee for a german player.
