Top Pick

Felipe Anderson (MID, 7.0m)

If you’re looking for a mid-priced midfield option with a lot of potential, then Anderson could be perfect. FPL managers from last season will probably focus more on the frustration of his run-up to the BGW where he returned nothing despite strong fixtures and a surge in ownership due to West Ham having a fixture in the BGW. However, he still finished the season with 9 goals, 6 assists and more points than the likes of Bernardo Silva and Richarlison.

Differential Pick

Andriy Yarmolenko (MID, 6.0m)

It was tough for West Ham that after a brief but promising start, Yarmolenko suffered an ACL injury that ruled him out for the rest of the year! Now he is back to fitness and will be looking to prove his worth, which could be a lot more than 6.0m!

Defensive Pick

Ryan Fredericks (DEF, 4.5m)

The Hammers defence (except Fabianski) are all nicely priced for a rotation, and Fredericks is your best bet if that’s the route you want to take. The young right-back was eased into Premier League life fairly gently, but slowly gained confidence and now should be West Ham’s first choice over the ageing Zabaleta.

Steer Clear

Mark Noble (MID, 5.0m)

It can be fairly tempting given his price, his record on penalties and the introduction of VAR, but Noble is slowly being phased out of the West Ham first XI. He will get occasional game time and will always be a beloved figure at the club, but now is not the time to pick him up in FPL.
