There are 2 different sets of people asking 2 very different questions about Wolves as we gear up for the season.

Optimists are asking if they can break the top 6 following their stunning return to the league last year. Pessimists are asking how far they will fall as they struggle to balance the Europa League with their domestic duties.

Personally, I’m leaning towards the latter, as we have seen what happens to teams without much depth or the cash to inject into building a bigger squad (see Burnley last year).

Things don’t look too good for the much sought after duo of Jimenez and Jota. A fairly weak attacking score suggests we should hold off on these two and look elsewhere until later in the season.

Stats Pick

Top PPM = Jimenez (24.1)
Top PPMP90 = Saiss (0.82) – slightly surprising considering I hadn’t even heard of him, but the defender scored 2 goals and got 3 clean sheets in the equivalent of 11 games!
