Top Pick

Raheem Sterling (MID, 12.0m)

He has received another price hike, but with 2 advantages over Aguero (extra point per goal, point for clean sheets) he is definitely the first choice from Man City.

His output has consistently increased since making the move to the Etihad, especially after the arrival of Pep, and now the only thing holding him behind Salah is the fact that City shares the points around much more than Liverpool.

Differential Pick

Riyad Mahrez (MID, 8.5m)

Mahrez didn’t quite make the step up from Leicester he was hoping for, but equally, he wasn’t given as much of a chance as he would have been hoping for! Pep has said he should have given the talented winger more game time, and that could happen this season, especially with Sane edging closer to a departure.

Defensive Pick

Oleksandr Zinchenko (DEF, 5.5m)

Everybody knows about Laporte and his threat, or Ederson and the certainty of starts, but their Ukrainian teammate is being overlooked by FPL managers so far. The youngster was listed as a midfielder but played left-back for much of last season, so was no good for FPL. But with Delph gone, Mendy still injured and reclassification to Defender, suddenly the makeshift left-back is a very real FPL option!

Steer Clear

David Silva (MID, 7.5m)

Bernardo Silva’s star is on the rise, but his namesake is certainly on the decline. He is still an incredible player and would make a huge impact for most teams, but with Pep using him more sparingly, he is no longer a cast-iron option. I fully expect him to make a mockery of that price tag when he plays, but that will probably be less often than you would like!
