Klopp led the Reds to battle against every champion of their respective league. Strangely, none of them could stop Liverpool from reaching the finals.

The first of the lot was an old adversary in Bayern Munich. The German side feared the worst when being paired with the team from England. Well, they had every right to be.

A stalemate gave the Germans hope when heading back to the Allianz Arena. However, the first leg result of 0-0 played into the hands of the Merseyside outfit, and the counter was on.

Bayern fell on the wrong end of an in-form Sadio Mane. He dismantled the home side’s defensive, obtaining what eventually became an easy victory.

The next fixture Liverpool cruised through

Over the two legs, there was no denying Liverpool from reaching the semifinals. The champions of Portugal bent over and took a six-goal hiding from Klopp’s men.

The Dragons had only one reply for the Reds in all the efforts. What happened in the UCL 2017-2018 run, repeated itself in a similar fashion. There was no stopping the team in red.
