PSG’s owners are trying to make their way to England through Leeds United. The Championship side is said to be in talks with money man, Sheikh Al Thani.

It has been published over the weekend Qatari owner, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani wants to buy a significant share in Leeds United. It’s understood talks are ongoing between the club and the Sheikh’s party, and a deal could see them take over a large portion of the once magnificent association.

The affluent Qatari boss has already seen one-sided success in the French Ligue 1 with Paris side, Paris St. Germain. Though, in saying this, besides the league title lifted this season by the Parisians, they’ve struggled in all other cup runs losing all of them.

A sad end to a promising run in 2018-2019

The Whites just missed out on automatic promotion when they failed to end first or second and fumbled the ball, succumbing to defeat when they faced a determined Derby County in the play-offs. Leeds’ were the frontrunners afore the second leg.

Sadly for the West Yorkshire faction, Frank Lampard’s boys conjured up a comeback, something that’s been the header of the season in all competitions, cups and leagues around Europe.

This left their opponents in the lower tier for another season, keeping them out of the Premier League and from Top Flight football for 15-years and counting.

The future could be better

This takeover could see the Championship side better their luck and get to the Premier League after their near miss. This helps drive transfers, see major upgrades and a direct link between them and French giants, PSG.

Hopefully, for the fans, Marcelo Bielsa can get them back to The Top Flight where they belong. The Independent advised the Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) are one of six investors trying to strike a deal with the championship side.

"Qatar Sports Investments will be entering English Football, and Leeds is the club of their choice,” the report quoted a source as having said, adding that Qatar has been looking at entering English football for the last two years."
