Whilst it is clearly still too early to judge on what kind of appointment Potter’s may be, on paper, it appears a shrewd appointment by the Brighton board.

Potter has enjoyed relative success in a short period of time, and with a stable base in the south coast, could be what Brighton need to kick on and establish themselves as PL regulars.

Of course, much will depend on the comings and goings in the transfer window – which Potter will surely use to aid his implementation of an attacking brand of football, something Brighton have not had for some time.
