The United board is busy with many moves behind closed doors and the developments they’re trying get over the line are the first steps to their recovery.

If you feel United are a few signings away from returning to their glory days, you are highly mistaken and have missed the shocking show on the pitch for the past two league runs.

What evolves on the pitch is a pure product of what’s going on behind the scenes. The club has fallen too far behind their biggest rivals and their local rivals to think a couple of fresh faces in Ole’s care would take them back to the very top.

We’ve seen this happen countless times before, and this could be the beginning of something special and long-lasting. Or, it could be a repetition of the same frailties that’s been occurring on the playing field.

The identity of the club is missing. A new one could even do better than the current image upheld by the players in United’s red and black. Who are the ones who create the uniqueness of the club? All involved! Staff, managers, owners, players, the whole damn lot!

What needs changing? Most of these areas lack and need improving before the new season gets underway. With City’s oil money they hardly a team worth the mention. However, United’s oldest rival proved just how much your backroom staff means to the club.
