What can be said that wasn’t said a 1000 times already? The mighty Reds again swept aside a team by more than three goals in the Champions League, this time big hitters Barcelona.

In the previous talks, I mentioned after Liverpool’s away loss they’re one of the few sides who could still book a place in Madrid. Even though the three-goal ask against the La Liga champs was one they’ve never confronted afore.

"If there’s one team that could mount a comeback, it’s Klopp’s Liverpool. If Man City’s narrow miss against Spurs is anything to go on, we in for one manic second leg. (via TheTopFlight.com)"

They did exactly what was expected of them. Many rival fans believed the jig was up and Liverpool’s chances of a Champions League final was a shot in the dark, and they had nothing counting in their favour for a Liverpool victory.

However, there’s been countless comebacks in the Reds’ history, especially at Anfield. Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger spoke out on this exact point and predicted that a return leg at Anfield is not what any team in Europe are really able to cope with.

He was spot on!

Picking the Man of the Match award in this one would take day and night, providing enough evidence Liverpool put in absolute team performance. Therefore, a big round of applause goes to those inside Anfield! You could feel the rupture inside the stadium from Merseyside to Africa when Origi put them ahead of the semifinal clash.

Liverpool and their Anfield night’s were incubated for European revivals, and their 4-0 thrashing over Barcelona not only confirms it but joins the ranks of the Liverpool folklore as the best comeback in the history of the Champions League! Barring Istanbul 2005 perhaps?
