Liverpool was incubated for European football. A new manager inherited what was rated as a half a star Liverpool side and took them all the way to a Europa League Final.

In came a different manager, who needed to come and start a new chapter in the FSG era. Jurgen Klopp was the next man to take Liverpool back to its glory days.

In his maiden campaign when he started during the month of October 2015, the German was tasked with getting the Reds back on track and rebooting the system at Melwood.

The former Dortmund man was introduced to the Premier League and was lucky enough to play in the Europa League after just arriving at what is now a fortress thanks to Klopp. And because nothing is coincidental in football, the footballing gods handed the German a showdown with his former side, Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool went in as the underdogs and was nothing like their competitors during the season. Over the two legs, BVB received the spoils of having the first clash at home. However, Jurgen had other ideas and returned to Anfield with a one all scorecard. Advantage Liverpool! This advantage was short-lived, though.
