Sunday capped off with a surprise result at the Emirates Stadium leaving Arsenal stranded behind their city nemesis, Tottenham and Chelsea. Meanwhile, Liverpool waits for Monday Night Football to see if they sit tops at the end of Matchday 37.

The ending is pending! The second last Matchday of Premier League action entertained from Friday to Sunday, while we wait for one more on Monday, Leicester City’s meeting with the title-challengers, Manchester City.

Some clubs’ destinies cast in stone while other clubs mettle with each other till the end, making sure the final day of the campaign is the determining day. Two games thrilled with five goals each, one of them a settler in this one of a kind title race.

Premier League Results
Friday

Everton 2-0 Burnley

Saturday

Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham
West Ham 3-0 Southampton
Wolves 1-0 Fulham
Cardiff City 2-3 Crystal Palace
Newcastle 2-3 Liverpool

Another row that can be seen from different angles is the battle for Champions League birth. You could view it to be one of the best and most dramatic contests to date. Or… Due to the poor and shameful performances from four of the top-six clubs, the final two UCL slots have not been filled.

Action packed? No, action and late drama overload in this weekend’s second last edition of English football.

Recapping the manic weekend of football behind us!
