Norwich City have clinched promotion back to the Premier League with their 2-1 victory over Blackburn on Saturday, ending a 3-year spell in the Championship.

Thanks to their brilliant manager Daniel Farke, Norwich City are heading back to the Premier League! Promotion has eluded the Canaries ever since their relegation from the Premier League back in 2015-16, but they have been consistently brilliant all season long, losing just 6 matches in a league that is known to be very physically and mentally demanding. Norwich were last promoted in 2014-15 when they won the promotion playoffs, but they were sent straight back down the following season.

As I mentioned earlier, manager Daniel Farke has a lot to do with this fantastic achievement from the club. He took over the side when they were in the relegation zone 2 years ago, and has morphed them into the most impressive side in the 2nd division. Many frowned at their decision to hire Farke, as he had no experience in English football or professional football for that matter, joining from Borussia Dortmund’s 2nd team, where he was head coach. Well it’s now safe to say that the doubters will be eating their words, as yet another foreign manager is finding success in the English divisions.

Norwich have already sealed promotion, and now will certainly have their sights set on claiming the crown in the Championship as title winners. They are certainly favorites to do so, although Sheffield United are sniffing around just 3 points behind them with a match to play.

It’s almost certain that Sheffield will be joining Norwich in the Premier League this season, while the other spot will be contested almost certainly by Leeds, Aston Villa, and West Brom, with the 4th spot still up for grabs between Derby County, Middlesbrough, and Bristol City.

The Canaries were lead by the exquisite Teemu Pukki, who managed to grab a ridiculous 28 goals, none of which were penalties. Tim Krul and Timm Klose are 2 of the other recognizable names in the Norwich outfit, who will be looking to make waves in the top flight next season.
