It was just not meant to be for Pep and Man City. Another season, another exit, and another time he has to pull out all the stops for a Premier League title rather.

Amazing that in this Top Flight Power Ranking you could either be in fifth place or first. That’s how intense the meeting was between the only two English sides that met in the quarterfinals. A fixture that spoilt with eight goals.

A narrow victory in the first leg set the stage for a historic battle come the second leg. All knew, City would be the team to beat inside the Etihad, however, not all thought it would be Spurs to walk out the triumphed side of the two.

City played well, won the return leg, and still got expelled from the competition. The Citizens were the only other losers from the last eight and for that, they placed second last in our power ranking.
