More than a few eyebrows were raised when Liverpool broke the world transfer fee for a goalkeeper and forked out 66 million pounds for Alisson Becker.

Those eyebrows were raised even higher when Alisson made a horrible mistake against Leicester early on in the season.

But since then, the Brazilian has gone from strength to strength, commanding his penalty area and making numerous vital saves. He has kept 18 clean sheets, the most of any goalkeeper this season.

The Goalkeeper position has been a problem position for Liverpool ever since Pepe Reina left. Everyone remembers what happened with Loris Karius in last season’s Champions League Final. But with Alisson between the sticks and Virgil van Dijk in front of him, Liverpool looks like a completely different proposition now.
