Hazard vs. Ronaldo – Who will be remembered as the better Premier League player?

There are many similarities between Ronaldo and Hazard. Two outstanding talents, both players were (or are) utterly iconic for their clubs.

But while Ronaldo shone in a great team under the guidance of a manager he loved, Hazard has played under six different managers at Chelsea.

There hasn’t been a great deal of stability or consistency during Hazard’s time at the club – in fact, you could argue that one disastrous season under Mourinho aside, the only real consistent thing at Chelsea in recent times has been the outstanding form of Eden Hazard.

The Belgian isn’t just the best player at Chelsea, it sort of feels like he is Chelsea. Monday night’s game showcased once again just how much he carries this team. If Chelsea does lose him this summer, it feels like it could be an even bigger loss than Ronaldo was for United.

However, if I absolutely I had to pick one, I’d go with Ronaldo. But only by a whisker. Or a tiny strand of his perfect hair.
