This will be the perfect match for the North London side to stamp their authority on the new White Hart Lane.

The pressure will be on for the home side, as this is only the second time making it this far on the biggest club stage in Europe. It will take a lot of doing to beat City, but rivals Liverpool proved what a difference a home first leg can count for in the Champions League. Spurs can replicate the Reds and take out Man City at the same stage of the tournament as last season.

Pochettino will have some key players missing but has his best strike force fit and ready to fire them to a home victory. Harry Kane‘s form in the competition gives the boss confidence. He has been involved in 17 goals in 17 UCL games. Sidelined will be the trio of Erik LamelaSerge Aurier and Eric Dier.

The manager had this to say;

"To play in the Champions League quarter-finals is a massive bonus for us We know it’s going to be very tough. Manchester City in the last few years have been building to win everything. If one team is capable of winning everything it is Manchester City today,” said the Argentine, who has urged his side to be “aggressive” in their second competitive game at their new home. The Argentine hasn’t shied away from addressing the pressures of the match and of what Pep’s men are capable of doing to any side in Europe. The home manager suggests this is the most important match in his managerial career.
