There are always pros and cons to a deal transpiring and more cons stand in the way of a deal happening in this one.

Real Madrid is said to be revamping and is in for a host of players. With some of the best in Europe already at the club and other potentially bigger signings said be looming, Sadio could be a priority they’d have to put on the backseat for the meantime.

If rumours and reports are true about Neymar and his willingness to join Madrid, they would need a big pocket to make sure they close all their prospective dealings. Word has it the Brazilian is rated at a high of £299 million (€350m)! If this the sum and Eden’s appraisal is at £100 million, as well as Eder Militao‘ £42 million that’s due, they’d surely be breaching FIFA fair play rules.

Having recently signed a new contract and receiving the number 10 jersey at Liverpool, Sadio’s will to leave could be gone before he even felt any. There’s also the fact his closest buddy, Naby Keita is at the club and only recently joined the Reds. Mane is the reason Keita came to Anfield, why leave now?

One big factor not discussed here is how much do Liverpool estimate him at and what is Madrid ready to splash out for the winger? Liverpool had all their players sign new contracts or join the club with no buyout clause inserted in them. This gives the Reds the edge to raise any players’ worth to whatever they feel is reasonable.

They could ask for £450 million if they wanted to! This will surely be the main factor in fending off other suitors for the African, especially Real Madrid.
