Matchday 31 of the Premier League is interrupted by FA Cup action. Three fixtures play out on Saturday and only two on Sunday.

The six teams featuring Saturday consist of those playing to beat the drop or are pushing for European football. The chance of applying pressure to those taking part in FA Cup action is there.

The chequered flag is visible while we ride the home straight in the English Premier League, every team should be playing as if they are playing for the title or were playing a cup final. The Premier League hasn’t been kind to any team and surely has taken its prisoners.

Saturday Matchday 31 fixtures

West Ham vs. Huddersfield
Burnley vs. Leicester City
Bournemouth vs. Newcastle

One week your team is on a high, maybe even going on a three-game unbeaten run. The next, the club’s in search of a new manager or relegation called early. What else the latter stage brings to mind is we’re nearing the sad end of the campaign. What makes this weekend even harder to digest is the international break coming up, thankfully, it’s Euro 2020 qualifies.
