The Top Flight’s Matchday 30 Power Ranking – Does London feature
Thank you Ralph Hasenhüttl, for such a delightful match. Southampton pulled off the upset of the weekend when they took Tottenham down by two goals to one.
It was all Spurs at first and so much so, they were the first to draw first blood. Yet, with a bit of luck and some next level determination, the Saints were rewarded. Two goals late in the second half and only five minutes apart from each other was enough to take all the points on the day.
It was not only the timing of the goals but also the quality of them. James Ward-Prowse‘s free-kick was of world-class quality and topped most, if not, all the goals for the weekend. This also kept their Premier League hopes alive and them out of the drop zone for another week.
