Hearts sat in mouths for about 15 minutes of the game. But trying to beat Liverpool inside Anfield with Virgil van Dijk leading them is a tall order.

Liverpool 4-2 Burnley

Liverpool had to be awake for a full 90 minutes with Burnley not allowing them to rest in any part of the match. Sean Dyche’s men were on Liverpool’s case in search of points they so desperately needed to stay away from relegation.

Liverpool’s attack finally came to life with both Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane hitting a brace each. Mohamed Salah was the only one of the three not to register a goal. Burnley’s efforts saw them get a goal in either half causing scares to the Reds title pursuit. As mentioned earlier, Klopp and his red army stay one point adrift from City and keep up with the pace.

Burnley sits two points aloft from the drop and is at risk of getting caught by Cardiff, who put in a great performance to get within touching distance.

Chelsea 1-1 Wolves

Wolves were literally seconds away from pulling the double over Chelsea, as Huddersfield pulled all six points away from them. Eden Hazard‘s late, late goal in the final seconds of the of the game claimed a point for Sarri.

Raúl Jeménez’s early goal after returning from the interval was almost enough for Santo to see them take all the points. Nonetheless, it was enough to see them reclaim seventh place in the Premier League table.

Chelsea slips further behind in the race for fourth place, soon it will become out of reach, giving the Europa League title the utmost importance.
