Manchester City can stretch their lead at the top of the league to four points when they take on Watford on Saturday evening. It could be a tough night for Watford, they don’t have a good record against City.

City are in great form, having won five straight league games. It‘s run that includes the 6-0 annihilation of Chelsea. Watford ‘s 5-0 defeat at Anfield is their only defeat in six. Javi Gracia has worked wonders with Watford, a club pushing for a top-seven finish.

Pep Guardiola’s side are flying at the top of the table. A sixth consecutive win will add more pressure to Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool. Guardiola’s side have already won the League Cup, and they are still going strong the Champions League and FA Cup.

It’s not all been good news for the current league champions. The BBC is reporting that the Premier League is investigating Manchester City for allegedly breaching financial fair play rules.

City have played Watford nine times in the Premier League era, winning seven and drawing two.

City love to play in this fixture, whether it be at home or away, they scored six at Vicarage Road in the 2016/17 season, the went back in the 2017/18 season and scored another five.

No other side in the league has scored more goals or made more passes than Manchester City.

Watford skipper Troy Deeney has scored eight goals in the Premier League, he’s Watford’s top scorer. Deeney spoke to the media about Watford’s desire to win.

Ederson has kept 14 clean sheets for City – Watford’s Ben Foster has kept seven.
