Manchester City can stretch their lead at the top of the league to four points when they take on Watford on Saturday evening. It could be a tough night for Watford, they don’t have a good record against City.

City are in great form, having won five straight league games. It‘s run that includes the 6-0 annihilation of Chelsea. Watford ‘s 5-0 defeat at Anfield is their only defeat in six. Javi Gracia has worked wonders with Watford, a club pushing for a top-seven finish.

Pep Guardiola’s side are flying at the top of the table. A sixth consecutive win will add more pressure to Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool. Guardiola’s side have already won the League Cup, and they are still going strong the Champions League and FA Cup.

It’s not all been good news for the current league champions. The BBC is reporting that the Premier League is investigating Manchester City for allegedly breaching financial fair play rules.

City have played Watford nine times in the Premier League era, winning seven and drawing two.

City love to play in this fixture, whether it be at home or away, they scored six at Vicarage Road in the 2016/17 season, the went back in the 2017/18 season and scored another five.

No other side in the league has scored more goals or made more passes than Manchester City.

Sergio Aguero is one of the best strikers in world football. The league named the City No.10 as the POTM for February, he is the Premier League‘s top scorer with 18.

Sergio Aguero has 96 league goals for City at Etihad Stadium. One more will take him level in third with Alan Shearer’s 97 at St James’ Park for the most goals at one venue in the competition. Only Thierry Henry (114 at Highbury) and Wayne Rooney (101 at Old Trafford) have scored more (via premierleague.com)

Watford skipper Troy Deeney has scored eight goals in the Premier League, he’s Watford’s top scorer. Deeney spoke to the media about Watford’s desire to win.

Ederson has kept 14 clean sheets for City – Watford’s Ben Foster has kept seven.
