Premier League: Liverpool versus Burnley preview
By John Wozniak
Liverpool need an early goal to settle the crowd. The intensity of the title race increases as each game is ticked off.
GOALS GOALS GOALS
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson were both on fire in Liverpool’s last game at Anfield, when they hammered Watford 5-0. Alexander-Arnold had three assists, Robertson had two. Liverpool are dangerous when they deliver quality balls into the box. A fast start to the game will give Liverpool the momentum need to go on and record a vital win.
Salah
Salah’s contributions are an important aspect of Liverpool’s game. The longer Salah goes without a goal, the more he will under pressure to deliver. There will be pandemonium in the stands if Salah scores.
Heaton
Tom Heaton has been in great form. The Burnley keep is in contention for an England call up. Heaton will have to be at his best against an excellent attack.
It’s going to be a long 24 hours for those associated with Liverpool. City play Watford the Saturday evening kick off. The Reds will have to respond to City’s result. A draw would be a great result for Burnley, it won’t do the Red Men any favours. Liverpool versus Burnley has implications at both ends of the table. It’s going to be another fascinating day in the Premier League.
