Finally! Chris Hughton and his Seagulls are off the mark for the year 2019.

It took Brighton eight match days to claim their first three points. It took them almost a full three months and they would have likely been the first team to not win another game for the rest of the season if they continued on their poor run of games.

They took a slender 1-0 win when they beat bottom-of-the-table, Huddersfield. The Terriers recorded a win before the Seagulls, but couldn’t gather another victory in their relegation efforts. Because of Brighton taking their first win in the calendar year, they get fifth place.
