Tottenham’s league form counts for little as they struggle in the remaining Premier League fixtures. However, their run in the Champions League cannot be faulted.

An ensured three-goal lead with no answer back from BVB gives Spurs the upper hand and the best chances of going through to the next round of the Champions League knockout phase.

Mauricio’s men ranked first in The Top Flight’s Champions League Power Ranking. They charmed Wembley with the best display of all the English Premier League clubs still in the competition.

Yet, with all this being said, they take on the Bundesliga leaders at home and must face the Yellow Wall on their travels. This will tip the balance a bit out of Tottenham’s favour. Worryingly for Lucien Favre (Dortmund’s manager), they haven’t beaten the North London side in the last three meetings between the two.

The most recent 3-0 loss, and then the two group stage matches in last season’s UCL, knocking the German side out of the cup.
