The North London derby will feature two players in-the-hunt for the Premier League Golden Boot. Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 16 goals, two behind Sergio Aguero. Harry Kane has bagged 15 in the league.
Manchester City and Liverpool are the only teams to have kept more clean sheets than Spurs (12). Arsenal have struggled defensively, they‘ve conceded 38 times, keeping five clean sheets in 28 games.
Mauricio Pochettino must engineer a game plan to stop a two-game losing streak, they‘ve won their last three games at home. A 2-1 defeat to Burnley last weekend came as a surprise. Spurs did not respond in the midweek trip to Stamford Bridge when Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners.
Kane returned to Tottenham‘s starting XI to score his 15th league goal of the season. Kane spoke of his frustration after Spurs’ defeat at Turf Moor.
"It was a physical game. We did well to get back into it at 1-1 but we couldn’t find the next level to push on and then unfortunately conceded again. via tottenhamhotspur.com"
Unai Emery’s side will cause a real upset at Wembley if they can keep Kane and company quiet and come away without conceding. An Arsenal win would take them to within one point of their archrivals.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the first player to both score and assist a goal in consecutive Premier League appearances for Arsenal since Santi Cazorla in February 2015. via optajoe
