Leicester City: Tom Rogic could follow Rodgers to the English Premier League

So with him having the club’s backing and money, Rodgers is almost for choice. It’s nearly predictable that some managers go in for the players’ who’s worked with them prior to the manager’s move. Now a manager synonymous for this type of deeds is Brendan Rodgers. When he left Liverpool, Kolo Toure was on that list.

The next, he tried to get Danny Ings to follow him over the hills from Merseyside to Glasgow. Ings denied the move and left Kolo to travel the four-hour journey across the lands alone. Will Rodgers do the same thing now that he’s moved back to England? Yup!

One player who could follow, Tom Rogic.

Reading Fox Sports, Daniel Garb believes Tom Rogic is the one player that has a solid chance of coming over to the English Premier League.

"Who’s to say he won’t take his favourite Aussie, Tom Rogic, with him?We’d like to see it, we might as well talk about it.Look it’s commonplace when managers go from one club to another, they look at their club and think ‘who can help me here?There’s no doubt Brendan Rodgers will look in his own backyard — or the one he’s left — at Celtic and say ‘who are the players who can step up?’ And Tom Rogic you would think would be a prime candidate — I mean, he dominated in Scotland under Rodgers for so many years."

I support Daniel Garb’s prediction

Rodgers does pick favourites. The Australian being a prime subject of this. Rodgers has heaped tons of praises for the Australian on several occasions. Couple that with the fact any player who has great technical ability, as well as great character, is a Brendan Rodgers type of player.

This man ticks all the boxes for the Foxes. He will go in for him, and the mate from down under will make the short trip from Glasgow to Leicester City. I don’t even think it will be a problem that he’s just signed a new contract with Celtic, contracting him to the club till 2023.
