Happy to see this talented midfielder back on the pitch. And there’s no sweeter time to return than now. Hopefully, he is here to stay and so are the good times, despite their fresh failure against Man City.

It’s been a long layoff for who I would consider West Ham’s best playmaker. However, since the arrival of Felipe Anderson, he wasn’t missed too much. Nevertheless, in saying this, the team could have done with an extra helping hand when others were out, absent from selection.

West Ham comes off the back of a heartsore defeat to second place Man City. They did everything in their power to keep them from scoring in the tie, but all their hard work was diminished by a goal from 12-yards out on the spot. Unjust? Yes! But can it be overturned? Nope! Now it’s time for them to look forward at their next Premier League meeting and what they can do to bounce back.

Speaking to the clubs website he made it known he is ready for the greatest return of his footballing career. Lanzini was used effortlessly under every West Ham manager that’s come in and gone out in his time as Hammer. Now he returns from an eight-month injury, and he returns at a time West Ham acquired one of the most decorated managers in the game, Manuel Pellegrini.

Taken from Sky Sports:

"I felt good on Friday but I know I still have work to do to get to my best fitness levels and best form. I am determined to get there, but I know I have to be sensible and not rush things. We have many good things to work for in the future and I am looking forward to playing for Mr Pellegrini and his staff. We have a very strong squad here and hopefully we can achieve good things this season and in the next seasons.I am sure the best is yet to come. After eight months of work and recovery, I went back to doing what I like doing most and what I love on Friday night."

Next. Man City agree on a 10-year kit deal. dark

The future does look bright for the Irons

With Pellegrini at the helm, the players look forward to coming into work. The results have improved and they can smell the chances for a European birth is so close, the players are finally excited to be Hammer.

Can’t wait to get a full game and we get to witness the sleeky Manuel Lanzini of before and the knee injury hasn’t crippled his gameplay.
