English Premier League: Man City fake penalty for three points against West Ham
PENALTY! I think not! I guess we all would love to be excited about VAR. But how can we when some of the decisions still get awarded incorrectly.
How many times afore this penalty dive have you heard the Egyptian, Mohamed Salah been called a fraud for diving inside the penalty area? West Ham, a couple of nights ago got robbed under bright lights inside the Etihad.
When things like this happen, sometimes you wonder why they just don’t hand the title over to Man City. Another club who is infamous for this type of behaviour is Real Madrid. Every season we see them get away with blue murder. Just two week ago a VAR decision overturned a goal for Ajax, that would have probably ended Madrid’s hopes on the night.
How it went down on the night

Manuel Pellegrini’s first trip to the Etihad was almost met with them going home with a point. Unfortunately for him and his Hammers squad, they were robbed by great trickery conjured up by one of City’s best players this season, Bernardo Silva.
The home side struggled to get a grip on the game, with Ryan Fredericks putting in a major shift again. He was so good on the night he had Leroy Sane subbed off, after being totally nullified from the game. West Ham disturbed City’s game all night and it nearly paid off.
The penalty shout came in the 59th minute of the game. Up stepped Sergio Aguero and no need to ask him twice. He put the penalty away and they led the game from there on out, with the final score being 1-0.
West Ham must get up and go again
The visitors were on a good run of games after facing both teams who are fighting at the top of the table and collected four points from the two. Not bad for a team who was at threat of being relegated at the start of the season.
Their next fixture could be a far bigger challenge than the one they’ve just recently experienced. Man City was lagging during the game. Newcastle look like freshwater fish! They have a kick in their step and high hop in their bounce.
Man City travels to the Vitality stadium for a rotten Cherries test. They’ve just let in five by Arsenal and still picking up the pieces at the Emirates. It also couldn’t get any worse for Bournemouth, now they must deal with a Man City trial… Shame!
