The Anfield faithful need not have worried about a tense affair against a Watford side pushing for a top-seven finish. A fantastic team performance ensures that Klopp’s men remain at the top of the Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester City.

It took the Reds less than 10 minutes to make their mark when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross found Sane, who headed home from inside the 18-yard box. Liverpool doubled their lead on 20 minutes when Mane scored his second of the night with a fantastic goal.

Origi justified his selection with his second Premier League start when he scored a fantastic strike on 66 minutes to beat Ben Foster at his near post.
