Three matches remain to be played before the English Premier League and the world rests for the biggest Super Sunday so far. Let’s discuss the final three fixtures of Saturday Matchday 27.

The first two matches of Matchday 27 played out on Friday night. Two matches instead of one was played, due to some Six-Nations Rugby action happening in Wales. There were 10 goals scored in just the two games last night alone.

A spirited Cardiff City went down by five goals to one inside their own stadium. A better fight was anticipated but Watford’s great form of late was just too much for the home side on the night. A hat-trick by Gerard Deulofeu was the highlight of the night as he became the first player to score a Premier League treble for Watford, while being only the third player to do so on in Friday Night Football, and only the sixth Spanish player to do so.

What a night for the footballer, who’s always had question marks over his performances. West Ham went down first but came back strong turning the result in their favour with the match ending 3-1.

After Friday concluded with no points shared, having only winners and losers, Spurs travelled to the Turf Moor Stadium to take on a stubborn Burnley. Spurs failed in their pursuit of keeping up with the top two of the English Premier League. The Clarets were there for the full 90 minutes and were rewarded with the three points over favourites Spurs. All in a days work for Sean Dyche and his men.
