Uncertainty is a ripe feeling in this fixture. Leicester City takes on a wounded Brighton side. What to expect from the two teams dropping further and further down the rabbit hole?

Leicester City has just announced the sacking of boss, Claude Puel. Can’t say it wasn’t coming and it transpired immediately after losing by a substantial amount of four goals to one when they played Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Must be a sad thought to know you lost your job at the hands of Roy Hodgson. Nevertheless, we might get the impression things aren’t going well, but the news of Brendan Rodgers taking the vacant job has to come as positive news.

Celtic have already arranged for a replacement in Neil Lennon for their opening. The new Alfa Fox will be posted in the stands, looking in on his new team. Could be a winning marriage.

The visitors – Brighton

The Seagulls has gone the whole new year without a win. Chris Hughton was boasting one of the best teams outside of the top six before the year turned an older age. He would have liked to come up against Leicester before the sacking Puel but must relish the opportunity to keep Leicester’s losing streak going.

One of their last fixtures was a loss to second-last, Fulham. This was worrying, to say the least. It’s been a really tough time for the visiting team, they were up by 12 points at one stage and now have dropped the deficit to only three points between them and relegation problems.

The English Premier League never fails to amaze with how quick things shift from good to bad, or vice versa.

The home side – Leicester City

We can foresee the King Power Stadium to be buzzing tonight even though they don’t have a manager and are on their worst run this season. They have fallen down to 12th place and are certainly out of the race for a European spot.

They have conceded the most goals in the last six fixtures with 15 goals let in. They have only collected one point from these six meetings. To top it off, a loss to Newport County in the FA Cup was endured by the Foxes.

Even though the home side goes into the game the worst for wear, they are still the favourites. A big bounce-back anticipated from Leicester City, with Brighton continuing their bad form.
