English Premier League: Wolves look to maintain unbeaten run at Huddersfield
By John Wozniak
Keys to the Game
Huddersfield’s confidence is taking a beating. Stopping a five-game skid will not be easy but that’s exactly what Siewert‘s task is. Goals have been scarce for the West Yorkshire side, they’ve scored 14 goals in 27 games.
Wolves need to keep their momentum and continue to create chances against a team that has conceded 50 times. An early goal could put the game beyond Huddersfield’s control.
Joao Moutinho will pull the strings in the Wolves’ midfield. The former Monaco midfielder has been an influential player with seven assists. Moutinho hasn’t been as productive in front of goal, he has scored just once in the Premier League.
Nuno gave his thoughts on the game in his pre-match conference.
"It’s a game that was very far away, we don’t take that game as our analysis for tomorrow. Teams have changed, their manager has changed, and they are playing in a different way. I remember at that moment they were really aggressive and we were not able to play. Since then I think we’ve improved on our building, the way we try to go out, but it’s not a reference for tomorrow. The most relevant are the previous games and the previous performance. Then you can see the new ideas, the new movements, and you have to try to find solutions based on the last performance of Huddersfield, which is not so far away. via wolves.co.uk"
Team News
Huddersfield: Erik Durm and Adama Diakhaby did not play in the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. Tommy Smith is serving a three-match suspension for his red card at the weekend.
Wolves: The Wolves manager has a full squad to choose from.
Huddersfield‘s season is all but over but they can play for pride, a draw would be a positive result for the league strugglers. Wolves will be keeping an eye on Watford’s midweek result at Anfield on Wednesday. It’s an exciting time for the Wolves’ faithful, their club has a real chance to finish inside the top-seven.
