West Ham fans all over the world would’ve been jumping for joy when key man Manuel Lanzini finally came on for his first game this season in the 76th minute after a long ACL injury recovery.

Alongside the man he replaced in the game, Felipe Anderson, and the talismanic Marko Arnautovic, Lanzini will make up a tantalizingly mercurial front three good enough to scare the best defences in the league.

The attacking potential West Ham now possess was clear to see late in the game against one of the worst defences in the league. Before the 90th minute clincher, Lanzini began a devastating counterattack, orchestrating the Irons’ push up the field, as Arnautovic ultimately headed against the post.

Even in this 15-minute cameo, “The Jewel” and his silky skills were on full display. Paired with Arnautovic’s brute strength and Anderson’s pace and guile, West Ham may possess the best attack outside the top 6 – which will be crucial to their late-season push for Europe.
