Manchester United host Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, it’s a must-win game for both sides. United are chasing qualification to next season’s Champions League, they look like a different side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
A Premier League Blockbuster
Manchester United can beat Liverpool on Sunday. There’s arguably no bigger game in English football than when United and Liverpool go head-to-head. Liverpool dominated England’s Top Flight, winning 13 titles between the 1963-64 and 1989-90.
Alex Ferguson changed all that. United’s greatest manager was appointed in November 1986, but it took United’s gaffer eight years to bring the English title home to Old Trafford.
United’s title-winning season of 1993/94 became the catalyst for a rich period in the club’s history. A further 11 league titles were added taking the club’s total to 20, eclipsing’s Liverpool’s haul of 19. Jürgen Klopp is throwing the kitchen sink at the title race, United can throw a spanner in the works on Sunday afternoon.

Solskjaer is unbeaten in the league, avoiding defeat in Sunday’s encounter won’t harm his reputation, it will, however, hurt Liverpool’s aspirations of a first league title in 29 years.
